All bedrooms have internet points for laptops and WiFi is also widely available across the campus. To use the Eduroam service, a log in will be required which can be obtained from reception, alternatively 'The Cloud' service appears on phones and devices automatically once on campus. To log in for the first time you supply an e-mail address and then after that every time you come back on campus (or anywhere else that has the cloud) you will automatically pick it up again.

Friday 20th June

6.00-7.30pm AA Meeting

5.30pm: Doors open at Woolf College for AA open meeting where refreshments will be served before and after. 
6.00-7.30pm: Meeting in Woolf Lecture Theatre

8:00pm Canterbury Dining

Meet in the Rutherford College car park to leave for various restaurants in Canterbury.

Join us at the at K bar, Keynes College for conversation, music and pool table action. 
There's an open mic if anyone fancies singing.

Saturday 21st June - Day Time

Doors open at 9:00am in the Woolf College for AA open meeting where refreshments will be served before and after

11.00 & 11.30am Crab & Winkle Way Walk

Leaving at 11:00 (Group 1) & 11.30am (Group 2). Follow the highlighted route & enjoy a pleasant walk through the Kent Countryside,. following the “Crab & Winkle Way” arriving at the coastal town of Whitstable. 


Starting from the car park outside Rutherford College, follow the signs and those in the know out of the University, and onto the Crab & Winkle Way. If you prefer you can catch a bus from Keynes College or a lift with others driving there. 

There will be 2 refreshment points, but you are advised to take water and to wear suitable footwear for walking. The walk is approximately 8 km long. 

On arrival in Whitstable you will walk into Harbour St, turn left onto the beach and follow for a short while for BBQ & refreshments

Enjoy our fellowship BBQ on Whitstable Beach. All kinds of BBQ food will be served on the beach, this is an excellent opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

It’s up to you! Have a look around the town, walk along the front, visit the Harbour, or enjoy the fellowship on the beach.

Join us at Darwin Conference Suite,  Darwin College with Gavin on guitar in a group sing-along

8:00pm Buffet and Entertainment

Join us at Darwin Conference Suite in DARWIN COLLEGE for an evening buffet, singing and dancing! 

Parking available in RUTHERFORD car park CT2 7NX. DARWIN COLLEGE is opposite the entrance to the car park, over the road. Tickets available at £25 per head across the weekend and are available on the door.

10:30am Walk to Canterbury

Meet at the Rutherford College car park for a stroll down to Canterbury to see the sights. Some of us will meet at Dane John Gardens at midday for Volleyball, Football etc. and our traditional international game of cricket.


A Day in Historic Canterbury

Take a stroll down to the beautiful City of Canterbury. We shall get together at the lovely Dane John Gardens CT1 1YW 
(Sunday 12pm) .
 There is plenty to do in Canterbury, from visiting the Historic Cathedral and taking in the various Museums, to going on a River Tour or just enjoying a stroll around the shops and cafes… Please check the times below before you set out… our research suggests; 

1. The Cathedral is fully open Saturday from 9am-5:00pm and Sunday from 11.30am-5.00pm (last admission at 4.00pm) However, various parts of the building are open subject to Services. Admission for those 18+ is £14.00 to enter the precincts and the Cathedral during the above opening times, unless you are attending a Service (www.canterbury-cathedral.org).


2. You can take a Historic River Tour, from King's Bridge, outside The Old Weavers House on St Peters St. Leaving every 15 to 20 minutes between 10am and 5pm.

3. The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, Museum, art gallery and library in a renovated 19th century building, plus workshops and events. 18 High Street CT1 2RA 01227 862162. Open Sunday 11am-4pm. 

4. Canterbury WestGate Towers St Peter's Street After the Cathedral, the West Gate is Canterbury's next eye-catching landmark. It has stood for six centuries on guard over the road to and from London. 1 Pound Lane, CT1 2BZ. Open the public at a charge of £4.00 between 12pm-4.00pm. 

5. Canterbury Roman Museum Longmarket, Butchery Lane, CT1 2JR. The Roman Museum is underground at the level of the Roman town. An exciting mix of excavated real objects, authentic reconstructions and preserved remains of a Roman town house with its famous mosaics. Charge £9.60. Open daily 10am-5pm 

6. The Norman Castle on Castle Street is closed but you can walk around it. 

7. Canterbury Guided Walking tours. Tickets available from the Roman museum or Canterbury visitor centre at the Beany Museum. A perfect way to discover the city on foot with a guided 90 minute walk. Available twice daily at 11am and 2pm. £12 per adult - www.canterburyguidedtours.com 

8. St Augustine's Abbey. The ruins of the great abbey, marking the rebirth of Christianity in Southern England, was founded shortly after AD57 by St Augustine. At a charge of £9.00. Open daily 10am-5pm. Longport, CT1 1PF

Bus Service 
The local bus service is run by Stagecoach and there are many stops on the campus. Bespoke timetables can be found via the following link:- https://www.stagecoachbus.com/timetables 
Alternatively, timetables can be found in all reception areas and at bus stops. 

Note:- There are still frequent buses running between Canterbury & Whitstable (useful for returning from the walk on Saturday!) but, the buses no longer come onto the campus (the stop is on the hill outside the university entrance)
